SkinPen is a professional microneedling device. Its fine needles create controlled micro-injuries in the skin as the device moves across the treatment area. SkinPen treatment planning is individualized; the FDA-cleared uses for microneedling devices are specific and include improving the appearance of facial acne scars in adults age 22 and older.
SkinPen may be considered for a range of skin tones, but that does not mean every concern or treatment area is right for every person. Your provider will review your skin and goals before recommending treatment.

The VI Peel provider recommends scheduling them 4–6 weeks apart, based on your provider’s recommendation and how your skin has healed. For example, you may have a VI Peel first, then SkinPen microneedling 4–6 weeks later. They should not be performed on the same day.
